It is clear to Jeff Sessions that Americans have a constitutional right to keep and bear arms.  He has been a long supporter of gun owners’ rights and has worked for them in the United State Senate.  He has received numerous awards from the National Rifle Association.

He has supported legislation that protects the right of law-abiding citizens to own firearms.  In fact, as part of the recent Supreme Court case on the 2^nd Amendment, Jeff Sessions signed a Friend of the Court brief urging the Court to strike down a Washington, DC ban on handguns.  That case is still pending.
