If the Liberals in Congress have their way, the American taxpayer will face the largest tax increase in history beginning in 2011.  The tax cuts that Senator Sessions voted for in 2001 and 2003 – which included reductions in everyone’s rates, the child tax credit, the end of the marriage penalty, the elimination of the death tax in 2010, and small business tax incentives, among others – will expire under the Democrats’ budget.

If Congress does not act and extend these tax cuts, the average family in Alabama will be faced with larger tax bills each year.  Imagine the impact this will have on the ability to pay bills, put gas in the car, buy food, pay for doctor visits and medication, and other essential costs.

The American taxpayer already pays an enormous amount from each paycheck in taxes to the federal government.  Senator Sessions believes that this money is better spent by the people who earn it back home than by Washington bureaucrats.  He believes that lower taxes are essential to spurring economic growth and keeping government small and efficient.

He continues to work to extend the American people’s tax cuts so that they can keep more of their hard earned dollars.  .
