Sen. Sessions says Congress is unlikey to reverse EADS decision (The Montgomery Advertiser)

EADS will likely keep the contract to build tankers for the Air Force in Mobile, U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions told the Mont­gomery Area Chamber of Commerce at its Eggs & Is­sues breakfast Wednesday.

Sessions called the pro­cess that led to EADS win­ning the bid the most fair and open contract process in Air Force history.

In fact, he said Congress mandated many of the provi­sions in the contract that led to EADS winning the bid.

That, he said, makes it un­likely Congress will reverse its decision and award the contract to Boeing, despite that company's protest.
