CONGRESS NEEDS to remove all doubt about whether soldiers wounded in Iraq will receive their promised military benefits.

Several injured soldiers have found themselves caught -- at least on paper -- in an outrageous Catch-22. One of them, former Pfc. Jordan Fox, recently told his story to the media, sparking justified public outrage and promises of action in Congress.

Sen. Sessions says he's working on proposed legislation designed to close a loophole in Defense Department policy that could result in wounded soldiers being denied part of their enlistment bonuses. Sen. Sessions is right.  Young men and women who serve their country in this time of war need and deserve every assurance that they will receive the benefits they were promised.
